A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome!

My name is Sara and I am a self-taught artist based in Dubai.

People have often asked why I paint, and where my passion and motivation comes from, and I have always struggled to put an answer into words that will make sense.  This is because regardless of whether I'm drawing or painting or creating something new, art just seems to flow from some space inside of me.  I am able to drown out all of lifes trivialities and really focus on the act of creating something beautiful.  I try not to 'think' about it too much and just allow the process to evolve in an organic and intuitive way.  As you may have noticed I LOVE colour and work predominantly with acrylics which give me the freedom to explore and experiment every time I pick up a brush.  I would describe my work as bold, spontaneous and fun, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Exhibitions:

- January 2017 - Created an original painting for The Ajala Project -  an award-winning Dubai-based social enterprise using art to raise awareness and crowdfund for social causes.

- March 2017 - Participated in the members group exhibition at the Dubai International Art Centre

- April 2017 - Exhibited at Oolchi's group exhibition representing local artists (www.e-oolchi.com)
